SiriusXM Data Extraction

The SiriusXM Data Extraction makes it possible for businesses running TireMaster to participate in the SiriusXM® for Shop Customers Program. The purpose of this SiriusXM program is to equip shops with a tool for thanking customers for their business. By participating, shops can offer owners of vehicles with factory-equipped SiriusXM satellite radio three-month trial subscriptions.

Once the data extraction is installed and enabled, here’s what happens:

1. TireMaster submits customer and vehicle data from the prior day’s sale invoices to SiriusXM, during an automated process that runs overnight.
2. SiriusXM examines the data and identifies vehicles that have factory-equipped SiriusXM satellite radio.
3. SiriusXM notifies the owners of those vehicles about their trial subscriptions.

When you enroll in the SiriusXM for Shop Customers Program, ASA is notified and will install the data extraction for you. You will be notified when the installation is complete.

The installation for the SiriusXM Data Extraction adds two system controls to TireMaster. These settings are on the System Controls screen’s Other tab.

SiriusXM Last Date Sent displays the date and time of the last submission to SiriusXM. This control automatically updates each time data is submitted to SiriusXM.

SiriusXM Start Date displays the date and time when the SiriusXM Data Extraction was installed.

Because the data submission to SiriusXM is automated, there is nothing for you to do. The data transmission occurs daily at 2:00 a.m. To ensure your data is submitted, leave your TireMaster server powered on overnight.

If the 2:00 a.m. automated process is interrupted, you can resend data for the prior day’s sales to SiriusXM. To resend the data, backdate the system control SiriusXM Last Date Sent. For example, if the last sent date is September 5 and you want to resend data going back to the first of the month, you’d change the date to September 1.
