Cash Drawers

This help topic is applicable to the following TireMaster applications:

TireMaster Point of Sale

TireMaster Plus

TireMaster Corporate

A cash drawer can be used with to your TireMaster system. Before you complete any cash drawer settings in TireMaster, attach the cash drawer itself to a parallel port on either a point of sale computer or a print server that is connected to your point of sale computers.

Note: TireMaster is designed to work with APG Model 182 cash drawers only. Refer to AGP’s documentation for instructions on connecting the cash drawer to your computer.

You also need to add the cash drawer to the Windows® operating system in the same manner that you would add a printer to Windows. Adding the cash drawer to Windows, enables TireMaster to communicate with the cash drawer and open it.

Note: If you use a print server to connect your TireMaster system to the cash drawer, contact ASA Support for assistance.

To set up a cash drawer

1. Connect the cash drawer to your computer.
Note: Refer to AGP’s documentation for instructions on connecting the cash drawer to your computer.
2. Add the cash drawer to the Windows operating system, using the Printers & scanners wizard.
3. Set up the cash drawer in TireMaster:
a. Select Setup > Printers. The Printer Selection screen appears.
b. Click next to the Drawer field. The Print screen appears.
c. Select Cash Drawer from the Name drop-down, and click OK.
d. Close the Printer Selection screen.
