Inactivating a Vendor Record
If you have vendors with whom you no longer do business, you might want to remove them from your list of active vendors. Doing so makes your vendor list easier to manage and use.
Note: If you’ve done business with a vendor, that vendor’s record cannot be deleted.
To inactivate a vendor record
1. Look up the vendor you want to inactivate. The Vendor Maintenance screen appears. For more information, see Looking Up Customer and Vendor Names.
2. Make sure the General tab is selected, and click Edit.
3. Clear the Active check box.
4. When you’re finished changing the vendor’s information, click OK.
