Epicor Vehicle Specifications

If your TireMaster system is integrated with the Epicor Integrated Service Estimator (ISE), you can retrieve Epicor‘s vehicle specifications and add them to your TireMaster vehicle records. The specifications include fluid types and capacities, brake repair information, and inflation and torque values. Once a vehicle’s specifications have been loaded into TireMaster, you can refer to them when you need to perform oil changes or other services. The vehicle specifications can be printed or viewed on screen.
You can retrieve Epicor vehicle specifications at point of sale or as a standalone operation.
To retrieve Epicor vehicle specifications
1. | Do one of the following: |
Start a work order. When the Vehicle List appears, select the vehicle and click Edit.
Start a quote. On the Quote and Estimate Writer screen, click Vehicle. Then select the vehicle on the list that appears, and click Edit.
Look up a customer and click the Vehicle tab. Then select the vehicle and click Edit.
2. | On the Retail Vehicle screen, make sure the VIN is defined. The VIN is required to retrieve specifications. |
3. | Click Scan Specs (Epicor). The specifications extraction screen opens briefly. Then basic vehicle information and the corresponding specifications (if available) appear in the fields on the right side of the screen. |
4. | For a hard copy of the specifications, click Print. |
5. | Click OK to close the Retail Vehicle screen. If you’re working at point of sale, you can continue with preparing a quote or work order. If you’re working with a customer record, you can close the Customer Maintenance screen. |
Once Epicor‘s specifications for a vehicle have been retrieved and added to vehicle information in TireMaster, you can easily view those details using the following methods:
Look up the customer record for the vehicle’s owner. When the Customer Maintenance screen opens, click the Vehicle tab. Then select the vehicle on the list that appears, and click Edit. The specs are on the right side of the Retail Vehicle screen. For more information, see Customer Searches.
Start a work order or retrieve an existing work order. Then click the Vehicle Spec tab (upper-right corner of screen) on the Invoice Entry screen. For more information, see Work Orders and Invoices.
Start a quote or retrieve an existing quote. Then click Vehicleon the Quote and Estimate Writer screen. When the vehicle list appears, select the vehicle and click Edit. The specs are on the right side of the Retail Vehicle screen. For more information, see Prepare Quotes.
You can generate hard copies of Epicor vehicle specifications, using the following methods:
When you start a work order, select the Print Vehicle Spec check box on the Work Order screen. When the box is selected, the specs will print on a separate sheet of paper when you print the work order. For more information, see Create a Regular Work Order.
Open the Retail Vehicle screen, and click Print. This screen can be accessed from a customer record and while you’re preparing a quote or a work order. For more information, see View Epicor Vehicle Specifications .
